This high quality Neff 00296173 carbon filter will create a fresher kitchen environment for you and your family. They do this by recirculating the air to keep bad food odours at bay, while absorbing the grease residue left behind after use. We recommend that you replace your carbon filter at least once every 6 months to keep them running efficiently.

I have no issues at all with the carbon filter which fits the hood as described and seems well built, nor with "Cooker hood Filters" who supplied the product quickly, efficiently and well packaged. I do have issues with the price, which seems extortionate for the amount of activated carbon in the filter. The carbon pellets are available elsewhere on the net for a fraction of the cost, but there is no discernible way of changing these pellets in the filter unit without more or less destroying it. I am not directing this at Cooker Filter Hoods as such since I assume they buy these in from the manufacturer, and have to pay a hefty price before they add their profit margin. It does seem as if the manufacturer (? Neff) is having a laugh!!
